Episode One (1) – “Date Chapter”

Dear Diary,

No one was supposed to see this. We had it all plan. A perfect date that should have ended up with him thrusting me.

After several months hitting up each other online, I felt this date was going to be as we had planned it.

A night beach with less crowd and a cool music that will drive and wake up our inner desires.

Well, at least he got the venue right only that the place was quite dirty and not really accommodative.

But hey, I thought love will make me look beyond that but my sensitive nose could pick the scent of human fesses around yet I couldn’t tell where it was coming from.

I thought my date, my love, my boyfriend, Ampofo, will see my discomfort but here he was, running his mouth and complementing my looks.

The whole date was a turn-off and deeply I wish we may have met under different circumstance. I tried as much as I can to play along but things were getting out of hand.

Guest kept trooping in and soon the whole place was crowded. The music was now suddenly loud and a table that was meant for two was now occupied by other couple.

There was no doubt of my love for Ampofo but I just couldn’t see myself through this date.

People were smoking here and there and I just couldn’t bare the scent of the cigarette. I had run out of options. Without any prior notice, I just took my purse and told Ampofo to take me out of here.

I expected him to just do it without questioning but once again, my expectations failed me.

“Are you okay Ruth” He asked.

Least i forget, My name is Ruth. A young lady whom I didn’t see myself to be a dating type, suddenly falling in love with this guy, Ampofo, whom I met on social media.

I decided to give it a try because inwardly loneliness was killing me. What we both planned of a perfect date had actually turned out to be the opposite.

And I blame my desperation for bring me this far.

This is my story and I hope i climaxed this event I’m penning down in my dairy with a happy ending.

Back to my date chapter, I refused to answer him. I just moved out and went to stand beside his Nissan Micra parked at the parking lot.

Shortly afterwards, Ampofo followed. This was where I was expecting him to ask the question but he appeared to be upset.

“Why would you walk out on me like that, you’ve totally disrespected me” Ampofo said.

I was surprised to hear him say that. Honestly I didn’t expect this reaction from him. I could see the anger in his eyes and I was surprised that he didn’t see how bad this date was turning out to be.

I felt this whole thing was totally a mistake.
This meet up shouldn’t have happened.

To be Continued.
