Episode Nine (9) – “For Love”

Before I could observe any longer, there was a tap on my shoulder from behind. I turned, and there he was, my Kobby.

My sweet loving Kobby. When I saw him, I felt happy. I missed him so much. I remembered how much I wanted to hug and kiss him but there was no way I could do that at his house.

“What are you doing here” he asked.

“Looking for you, what else would I be doing here” I asked.

“Get out of here before my mum sees you” Kobby said.

At that point I didn’t care if his mother sees me or not. But I had to obey Kobby on the condition we meet up later that evening at our usual spot.

I couldn’t even get the time to ask who there were mourning. All I care was the fact that I met my Kobby.

So as I laid in bed, all this memories came flashing at face. One thing I knew was after the visit to my Grandmother, everything between Kobby and I had changed.

Even the relationship I had with my parents had also changed. They were too cautious of me and never wanted me to be alone. I had to practically sneaked out all the time.

Oh Kobby, I was even so happy when he brought up the blood covenant Idea, apparently that was the last thing we did before mum took me to grandmother.

With that in mind, I checked my thumb and could see the wound had still not properly healed. It was all because of love.

With this covenant, I knew we were going to stay till death do us apart.

Fortunately, I was able to catch some sleep after all.

I woke up at the sound of cock crowing just beside my window. I needed more sleep. I will kill this cock today for waking me up. Then I remembered Daddy had punished me to be cleaning the the coop that morning.

I hope he had forgotten. I lazily dragged myself out of the bed, went to my first aid box for pills and took them.

Not like, I knew why I was taking those pills but I had become so used to them. I was made to take them every single morning supervised by my parents. I guess I don’t need their supervision anyway, they knew I’m used to it and won’t miss it for anything.

Just afterwards I went downstairs, to find the entire place empty. There were no sign of my parent.

I went straight towards their room and from where I was I could hear them talking from their room. Just for being curious, I decided to listen to what they were saying.

“I’m worried about her, it’s getting worse again” My mum said.

“I told you not to bring her back, she’s not safe here. I don’t want what happened to that woman’s son to happen to anyone- you need to take her back” My Dad said.

To be Continued.
